The core of everything I do.
One-on-one functional strength
Full-body strength built around the movements your life actually asks for: getting off the floor, carrying, pressing overhead, stepping up, hinging safely. Loaded conservatively at the start and added to steadily, so you finish sessions able to go do the rest of your day.
- Squat, hinge, push, pull, carry
- Progressive loading, never punishment
- Programmed around any limitation you bring
Range first, then load.
Mobility and joint health
Ankles, hips, thoracic spine and shoulders get worked every session, not as a warm-up but as the point. This is the work that makes turning your head to back the car out, reaching a top shelf and swinging a club feel normal again.
- Session-by-session range work
- Post-surgical and cranky-joint aware
- Simple daily homework you'll actually do
The skill that protects independence.
Balance and fall prevention
Balance is trainable, and it's built from ankle strength, hip control and honest practice. We progress from two feet to single leg to uneven ground, with real strength work underneath so the gains hold.
- Staged single-leg progression
- Loaded carries and split-stance strength
- Floor-to-stand practiced on purpose
For the people who aren't done competing.
Athletic event prep
Golf, pickleball, 5Ks, charity rides, a long hike you've been eyeing. We train the rotation, the conditioning and the recovery capacity that particular event demands, and we back off at the right time so you show up fresh.
- Rotation and anti-rotation work
- Event-specific conditioning blocks
- Taper and recovery planning
If it's been years, start here.
Total beginner on-ramp
A slower, fully explained first eight weeks. Every exercise gets a why. Nothing gets loaded until the position is solid. By the end you know your way around a gym well enough to never feel out of place in one again.
- No experience assumed
- Every movement explained
- Confidence before intensity
Enough protein, enough water, no gimmicks.
Nutrition guidance for aging well
Practical targets that support strength and recovery at 45+, without a plan you'll quit in three weeks. Start with the calculator on this site, then we tune it to how you actually eat.
- Protein and fiber targets that fit real meals
- Hydration and recovery basics
- Adjusted as training load changes
